To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to do the following:
  • For providing strategic direction, return on investment analysis, management & execution of all merchandising initiatives.
  • They will work cross functionally with MSI merchants, sales, branch leaders and trend & design teams to determine optimal merchandising solutions.
  • This role will also be responsible for leading a team of over 25 warehouse employees to ensure all merchandising elements ship in a timely and cost efficient manner.
  • They will work with supplier partners to develop merchandising solutions that capture the essence of our product lines.
  • They will negotiate all merchandising projects and find cost out opportunities.
  • The Visual and Operations Merchandising Manager must have a passion for solution based  Merchandising, overall organization, a drive for achieving and reaching delivery dates, the ability to comprehend overarching issues, concerns, or problems through trouble-shooting and providing creative alternative solutions.

  •  Prioritize tasks to support growth categories while driving top line sales
  • Own competitive analysis for all merchandising; identify voids in merchandising within MSI and in the marketplace
  • Working with  suppliers, customers and MSI associates to develop new merchandising solutions
  • Measure productivity (ROI) for all merchandising
  • Negotiate with supplier partners
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time
  • Manage workforce (labor hours) based on project workload
  • Manage cross functional partnerships to continuously improve the quality and function of merchandising.

      Qualifications Requirements:

  • Four year degree
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
  • Strong organizational skills
  • 7+ years of Visual Merchandising management creating new programs and effective delivery to the field with measurable results.
  • 7+ years of leadership and direct management of multiple teams with varied functions
  • Strong knowledge of methods, tools, and best practices in Visual Merchandising in the following areas– visual merchandising, fixture design/development, signage
  • Bachelor’s Degree required

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to do the following:
  • Performs shipping and receiving; reads shipping orders to determine quantity and type of transportation needed.
  •  Ensures the accuracy of all shipping documents, gathers, and maintains all data relative to shipping activities.
  • Collects all documentation for outboard freight and routes to the proper record keeping unit.
  • Pick orders for shipment and assemble various types of merchandise to be shipped.
  • Schedules inbound and outbound freight to comply with warehouse operations.
  • Contacts carrier representative to make arrangements and to issue instructions for loading products
  • Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Equipment to include (but not limited to), forklifts, overhead cranes, and pallet jacks.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work environment.
  • Keep an equipment checklist and perform preventative maintenance of equipment.
  • Performs additional duties as required and or requested.
Additionally the candidate must meet the following education and experience requirements:
  • Previous shipping and receiving experience.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions effectively.
  • Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Must be flexible to work on Saturdays.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Education required.
  • 1-2 years of Warehouse experience.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:

  • Executing all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to programming team
  • Conceptualizing original website design ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex roadblocks
  • Create storyboards, user flows and process flows  to communicate interaction and design ideas

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to do the following:
  • Receives and supplies receipt acknowledgement of internal, client, vendor or third party supplied assets
  • Enters metadata about the image, and if required, product data that pertains to the product depicted in the asset
  • Maintains rights-managed status on assets in the database
  • Manages asset requests for the internal team
  • Ingestion – Adding files and metadata to a central repository. Assist Marketing team with daily ingestion of assets including the addition of metadata to the DAM and archiving of assets.
  • Annotation – Commenting, collaborating and/or making notes on assets to determine and control uses and promote an asset’s ability to be repurposed effectively.
  • Cataloging – Indexing and classifying assets in a number of ways in which they can be controlled and easily retrieved by approved users for use in appropriate communications
  • Storing – Preserving the integrity of the digital file and its metadata for the lifetime of an asset so that it can be controlled, versioned, repurposed and archived according to administrative direction
  • Retrieving – Searching, finding, accessing and/or delivering assets in the proper file formats so that the asset(s) may be used according to the intended and/or permitted uses
  • Delivery – QA assets from Web Designer, Graphic Designers, and Studio Photographer ensuring they are to spec and maintain consistency with brand and style guides. Work with internal and development team along with operations to resolves any issues that may prevent assets from publishing
  • Conduct the daily management of the Digital Asset Management (DAM) system.
  • Generate asset reports and maintain records for the system.
  • Other duties as identified and assigned.
  • Execute periodic auditing of digital assets, digital storage systems, and related workflows to ensure long-term persistence and usability of the digital material. Reformat legacy media when necessary.
  • Work with MSI’s Marketing team to plan upgrades and maintenance of digital archive and asset management systems
  • Configure digital storage software platforms, manage user accounts, and control access.
  • Maintain a thorough and up-to-date understanding of digital file formats.
  • Work collaboratively and independently across a wide spectrum of staff.
  • Demonstrate a deep curiosity and problem solving capacity amid changing environments.
Additionally the candidate must meet the following education and experience requirements:
  • Knowledge of and experience with digital asset management systems, hosted or cloud-based platforms – Adobe Experience Manager a plus.
  • Evidence of excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organization and analytic skills
  • Familiarity with both MAC and PC and visual imaging software such as Adobe Photoshop
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing outstanding customer service

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher with a concentration in information science, digital technology, archives management, or comparable program and certification
  • 3+ years’ experience in Digital Asset Management, Content Management, Photography Studio and Digital Media.
  • Hands on experience with Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Photoshop and related Adobe Creative Suite programs, Digital Asset Management, Excel and image archiving.
  • Minor image editing experience a plus.
  • Must be well organized and detail oriented with ability to multi-task and troubleshoot.
  • Prior studio or agency experience is preferred
  • Experience working in an environment with multiple stakeholders, remote and matrixed teams
  • Prior experience planning/maintaining and/or building a DAM is a plus
  • Digital Archives Specialist Certificate (DAS) preferred

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to do the following:
  • Responsible for assuring all shifts and functions are properly staffed to execute varied work volume, manage flow of orders to the floor to optimize operation for approximately 50-100 employees in a 350,000 square foot facility.
  • Develops, maintains and manages facility quality process.
  • Ensures on-time shipping performance, works closely with employees, delivery drivers and Foreman to ensure receipts and shipments meet standards.
  • Manages daily/weekly/monthly quality and productivity reporting.
  • Supervises realignment activities to ensure maximum optimization of the facility.
  • Manages operational activities to ensure DC layout and continuous improvement activities support goals of the operation.
  • Provides direct supervision to the Foreman. Holds them accountable for their performance and the performance of their teams.
  • Provides Leadership, training, and supervision to 35 to 50 team members.
  • Continuously works towards increasing the leadership capability of the team and drives professional growth.
  • Responsible for all facility/equipment maintenance and supplies.

  • 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles highly desired.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite - Word, Excel.
